Contact Us
Rotary District 6440, known as "The Home District" is comprised of 72 Rotary clubs with approximately 3,000 Rotarians, located in 5 counties of northeastern Illinois, USA. Our district includes the suburban cities located around Chicago such as Schaumburg, Evanston, Lake Forest, St. Charles, Waukegan, and Wheaton. District 6440 conducts its exchanges by operating in junction with Central States Rotary Youth Exchange.

As a Rotary Youth Exchange student, you will spend a year living on a cultural exchange with several host families in a country other than your own. Not only will you learn a new language; you will learn a new way of living — and a great deal about yourself. But there’s more. While you’re busy learning, the people you meet will be learning too — about your country, your culture, and your ideas. You will be a young ambassador. You will be helping to bring the world closer together — and you’ll be making some good friends in the process. Explore our site if you’re ready for the challenge — and the rewards — of living in another land as an exchange student. Or, as a Rotary volunteer or Host Parent, if you want to discover new worlds through a Rotary Youth Exchange program by opening your heart to a young exchanger, then you’re ready to be a part of our RYE program.
